Everyone knows that christmas is a time for family. I now find that each year that brings a new christmas, my family seems to be shrinking . Last year was rather strange as my only grandparent (Grandfather Jack)had passed away earlier within that year; that meant that it was just me, my parents and my pets to be around christmas '07.
This christmas i fear is to be even lonler. Unfortunatly, my best friend - my dog Megan - had to be put to rest on 24th November; as she was 15 and her body was going into 'shut down.' This was a tragedy for my parents and I, but it was made worse by one of my 6(now 5) cats being knocked down while crossing the road. Fortunatly, little whiskee was killed straight out and this didn't suffer at all.
So now i fear this christmas is goind to be very strange, our small family is shrinking much quicker than i would like. But christmas is christmas after all, and with each death, a new life is given.
